Kwikstert Motor Works is a fictional business made for a design portfolio. This page shows what the real page would say. No personal information is collected by this concept site: the booking forms are a dry run and sends nothing.

Bookings

  • A booking is confirmed only when we WhatsApp you. If we must move it, we tell you as early as we can.
  • There is no deposit for a service. Please give a day's notice to move or cancel, on 021 000 3318.
  • Drop the car off between 07:30 and 08:30 for same-day work.

Quotes and approval

  • We give you a written quote before any work starts, as the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 requires for repairs (section 15). Prices on the website are samples for each car size and include VAT.
  • We only do the lines you approve. If we find more work, we send a new line with a photo and a price; nothing is added without your yes.
  • Diagnosis is charged at R650 when you do not go ahead with the repair, and taken off the bill when you do.

Parts and old parts

  • We fit original parts or equivalents of matching quality, and the quote says which.
  • Every part we replace is returned to you, as section 15 of the Act provides, unless it must go back to the supplier under a warranty exchange. We tell you if that is the case.

Warranty

Our work and the parts we fit are guaranteed for 12 months or 20 000 km, whichever comes first. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including the implied warranty of quality on repaired goods (sections 56 and 57).

Collection and paying

  • You pay on collection, by card, tap or EFT. The car is released once the invoice is paid.
  • Cars left more than three working days after we tell you they are ready may be charged R150 a day for storage, and we will remind you first.

If you are not happy

Tell us when you collect, or as soon as you notice a problem, on 021 000 3318. If we cannot put it right, you may refer the matter to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa, the accredited ombud for the motor industry.
